 Tchaikovsky's Winter Dreams Violinist Gil Shaham returns in Mozart’s Fifth ("Turkish") Violin Concerto with sweet melodies and a hint of military-Turkish music. Pulitzer Prize-winning composer George Walker was co-commissioned by the PSO and three other orchestras to write "Strands."  Continental Christmas Tenor Joseph Gaines has recently turned heads in performances with Pittsburgh Opera, Houston's Ars Lyrica, and Apollo's Fire.
