Alkan 200th Anniversary Concert
Pianist Eric Dzugan and the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh directed by Betsy Burleigh perform a Halloween-themed concert celebrating composer Charles-Valentin Alkan and his beloved deceased pet parrot, Jaco. The program includes Alkan's smaller piano works ("the many facets of Alkan"), then a large scale work, and finally a section titled "the Funereal and the Grotesque."
