WQED was honored with six Emmy® Awards - including the prestigious Emmys for "Overall Excellence" and "Community Service." The National Academy of Television Arts Mid-Atlantic Chapter presented the Emmy statuettes at an awards ceremony in Philadelphia. Congratulations to the following winners.

The Gathering: Pittsburgh’s Celebration of Life honored WQED's Michael Bartley and Tonia Caruso for their two documentary productions, "Gun Violence: Victims & Voices for Change." The event recognized community leaders working to stop violence in the region.

WQED's Michael Bartley received the Roy McHugh Award for his coverage of "The Pittsburgh Donnybrook" boxing event. The award is presented to a Pittsburgh media personality who best exemplifies McHugh's commitment to excellence in the field of sports media.
