Neighborhood Week: Classical Standards
Jazz alto saxophone legend Phil Woods joins PSO musicians to recreate the historic 1950 recording "Charlie Parker with Strings," featuring arrangements of classical standards, which Parker often referred to as his all-time favorite sessions. The concert will also recreate selections from the 1955 album "Clifford Brown with Strings," featuring trumpeter Dr. James Moore.

King Lear
Directed by Jeffrey Chips, King Lear features local favorite Ronald Siebert as Lear and PSIP Artistic Director and Founder Jennifer Tober as Edmund/Oswald. Glue Factory Project: Beckett & Beyond
Performed by a stellar international cast, Beckett & Beyond explores the fickle landscape of existentialism. Beth Corning weaves her thoughtful, award-winning choreography with two short works by playwright Samuel Beckett - Act Without Words II, and Rockaby, both of which are a form of movement/ physical theater. Designer Stephanie Mayer's evocative floating landscape creates a surreal geography for three metaphorically and literally tethered travelers.
