Three Rivers Young Peoples Orchestra Spring Celebration!
Join us for an evening of music and family oriented activities as we celebrate the conclusion of a successful 42nd season!Program includes works by Telemann, O'Connor, Janacek, Bach, Debussy, Verdi and two Pittsburgh Premieres by Brett Abigaa and Till McIvor Meyn. Featuring guest soloists Marylene Gingras-Roy, Paul Evans, Colin Pinto-Martin, Ben Foster, Mat Docktor and Concerto Competition winners, Aaron Berger and Geoffrey Madge.Pre-concert performances by Handmade Percussion and Soundwaves Steelband.Admission is free but tickets are required. The Complete Beethoven Piano/Violin Sonatas: Recital 1
In this first of three concerts featuring the complete Beethoven Piano/Violin Sonatas, faculty members Cyrus Forough and Sergey Scheplin will come together to perform Sonatas No. 1, 5 and 7 on Thurs. May 5. The remaining two concerts will be sheduled in the Fall 2016 and Spring 2017. Free an open to the public.

Byron Janis Master Class
Renoenrd as one of the world`s greatest concert pianists. Byron Janis will host a master class in Alumni Concert Hall (College of Fine Arts Building) At Carnegie Mellon University on Thursday, May 5th at 12 pm..Sergy Schepkin, Assoc. Professor of Piano has worked with Mr. Janis to select three CMU students to work with Mr. Janis. This master class is free and open to the public.

Strings Extravaganza Belle Voci with Strings Attached
This final performance of the season combines the forces of Belle Voci (Beautiful Voices in Song), under the direction of Craig Cannon, and the Giambelli String Quartet (GSQ). This will be the fourth year that the two groups have collaborated on Belle Voci’s annual spring concert. Belle Voci and GSQ will combine to perform a complete version of Giovanni Battista Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater for women’s choir, featuring Belle Voci’s own soloist from with the choir. Other selections include works by Brewbaker, Ramsey, Herryman, Shields, and G. Smith.Proceeds to benefit Susan G. Komen Pittsburgh and the Race for the Cure.
