The Nutcracker
The adventures of Marie and her Nutcracker Prince bring the awe and wonder of the season to children of all ages. Set in 1909 Pittsburgh, Terrence Orr’s grand–scale production features scenes of old–time Pittsburgh, making The Nutcracker a treat for the entire family.

Handel's Messiah
"Rejoice greatly" with George Friedrich Handel's immortal "Messiah." Long viewed as Handel's most popular work, Messiah is synonymous with the holiday season. This oratorio contains the "Hallelujah Chorus," "Ev'ry Valley" and "Amen" refrains, sung by The Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh.

Regina Carter's Reverse Thread
A Jazz Collaboration with August Wilson Center for African American Culture. Reverse Thread consists of music from the African Diaspora including music from Mali and Senegal.  The program also includes traditional pieces from Uganda and a piece by Ayub Ogada (from the movie 'The Constant Gardener').

Dickens' magical tale of Scrooge, Ghosts, Tiny Tim and the Cratchit family returns by popular demand. This heartwarming production was created in 1991 by Ken and Jane Gargaro. Seasonal carols and the music of Bach, Mozart, and Vaughn Williams provide a tuneful framework for this production which Post-Gazette theater critic Chris Rawson has deemed "child-friendly and fun."
