Honeck, Rossini & Strauss
Manfred Honeck conducts Rossini's exciting William Tell Overture -- famously used as the theme music for the Lone Ranger radio and television shows. Symphony #93 is the first of 12 “London symphonies” composed by Haydn and showcases the composer's humor. Strauss' tone poem Ein Heldenleben (A Hero's Life) depicts a hero's journey from the battlefield to finding peace.
Broadway razzle-dazzle at its best. Fired from her first Broadway show, starry-eyed actress Peggy Sawyer thought she’d never see her name in lights, but fate had other plans. Come and meet those dancing feet in this Tony Award®-winning musical. The toe-tapping, foot-stomping score includes such classics as "We’re in the Money," "42nd Street" and "Lullaby of Broadway."
Radio Golf by August Wilson
Pittsburgh Playwrights becomes one of the few theatres in the world to present all ten plays of August Wilson's Pittsburgh Century Cycle in the order of their Broadway appearance. Mark Clayton Southers, Art Terry, Wali Jamal with Kevin Brown and Chrystal Bates under the direction of Eileen J. Morris bring Wilson's characters to life as they tell the story of Harmond Wilks and his evolution in the Historic Hill District.

Pittsburgh Opera singers serenade you with a mix of opera and musical theatre favorites such as "Sull'aria" from The Marriage of Figaro, "Largo al factotum and "Una voce poco fa" from The Barber of Seville, "O mio babbino caro" from Gianni Schicchi, and "Au fond du temple saint" from The Pearl Fishers. Bring your own chairs and blankets; leashed pets welcome.

Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival
The 54th annual Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival connects the community to the arts through high-quality and diverse visual and performing art attractions including more than 100 events and activities featuring more than 500 artists in over 20 venues. The Festival is free and open to the public. June 10th is Classical Music Day, featuring a concert by the Pittsburgh Symphony and Pittsburgh Opera resident artists at the Point.
A Grand Finale with Yuja Wang
Manfred Honeck closes the season with the young Chinese virtuoso Yuja Wang in Tchaikovsky's powerhouse Piano Concerto #1. Shostakovich's Symphony #5 is a Russian masterpiece with deep meaning for the composer and his country – a grand finale.
