For its 40th anniversary, the Pittsburgh Camerata pays tribute to founding Artistic Director Arthur Wenk with works by Guillame Dufay, Tomas Luis de Victoria, Paul Hindemith, Maurice Ravel and "Jesu Meine Freude" by J.S. Bach.

Hugo Wolf's Italian Songbook
Director and pianist Benjamin Binder, soprano Sari Gruber and baritone Daniel Teadt perform Hugo Wolf's Italian Songbook, one of the crowning jewels of the art song repertoire. Composed during the 1890s in the artistic and sexual hotbed of fin-de-siecle Vienna, these 46 tiny yet exquisite songs explore the pleasures, perils, and pitfalls of love from every possible angle – the war between the sexes never sounded so good.

PB&J Session: Five Flavors of Folk
Chatham Baroque's wildly popular Peanut Butter & Jam Sessions are designed especially for preschool children and their accompanying adults. Based on a model developed by the Linton Chamber Music Series in Cincinnati, PB&J is hosted by certified Kindermusik teacher Lynda Wingerd, and encourage young children to become active and enthusiastic listeners through music, dance and games. Chatham Baroque performs live, often with guest artists.

Poptastic! The Art of Burton Morris
This first major retrospective of Burton Morris' work will feature nearly 50 items including early art and drawings from Morris' Pittsburgh childhood, signature painted works, product lines such as his Pittsburgh ties, sculptural work, and interactive works of art developed in conjunction with the Entertainment Technology Center at CMU. Carnegie Mellon-trained Morris was inspired by comic strips and magazines as a child, and later by artists Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Tom Wesselmann, and Red Grooms.

From Franz Schubert to Reza Vali

Nearly Wild
Fresh from its triumphant debut at Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, Texture Contemporary Ballet stages "Nearly Wild," which explores the blending of the tame and the wild within the human condition. The progam also includes premiere by Kelsey Bartman with original music by Blake Ragghianti, an expanded version of the ballet "Broken Flow", and new pieces by up-and-coming choreographers Oscar Carillo and James Barret.

Music and Poetry - "Fa├žade"
The Renaissance City Winds present a production of Facade, featuring readers Robert Page and Kate Young. British composer William Walton wrote the music to the poetry of Edith Sitwell, which is recited in precise rhythm against the instrumental music. The Winds will also perform quintets by Jacques Ibert and Gabriel Pierne, plus a trio, The French Suite, by Robert Washburn.
