Music 101 - Lorna McGhee, flute Get to know the PSO's new Principal Flute, Lorna McGhee, at an informal lecture-and-performance. Her theme, "From Old World to New - Journeys with the Flute," will be loosely based on Dvorak's New World Symphony, which is featured on the orchestra's first subscription concert of the new season. With pianist Donna Amato, she'll play movements from Dvorak's Violin Sonata on her flute, as well as a Baroque piece, music by Katherine Hoover, Jake Heggie, and something inspired by John Coltrane. 09/20/2012
