Awadagin Pratt, piano
Pittsburgh native Awadagin Pratt began piano studies at age six. Three years later, having moved to Normal, Illinois with his family, he also began studying violin. Winner of the 1992 Naumburg Competition and a 1994 Avery Fisher Career Grant. Mr. Pratt will play Liszt's B Minor Sonata, other well-loved favorites by Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Scarlatti, and more.

Salute to Spring
Mansions on Fifth presents Bach's Wedding Cantata featuring soprano Lily Abreu, Handel's Violin Sonata in D, a Harpsichord Suite by D'Anglebert played by Richard Stern, and other interesting and rare works played by present or past members of the Pittsburgh Symphony, Pittsburgh Opera and Ballet Orchestras, and the New York Philharmonic. "Japan is the Key...": Collecting Prints and Ivories, 1900-1920
This show features over 50 rarely-seen Japanese prints, including traditional masterworks by Hiroshige Andō, Katsushika Hokusai, Utamaro Kitagawa, and Kunisada (Toyokuni III), as well as highlights from Carnegie Museum of Natural History’s collection of Japanese ivory figures of people, animals, and gods.
