Americana
The Renaissance City Winds and guest Bill Troxler, hammer dulcimer, will perform traditional and original tunes. Troxler, a resident of Chincoteague Island, VA, is Music Coordinator for the Chincoteague Cultural Alliance and can be heard on several CDs. The Winds will also play American chamber music by Samuel Barber, Gunther Schuller, and Eric Barndollar.

Young People's Concerts
These concerts, Storm Chasers, are performed for 3rd through 5th grade students, but are also open to the public.  Featured guest artist is violinist Inori Sakai, who'll play "Winter" from Vivaldi's Four Seasons.  Artistic Director Daniel Meyer also conducts works by Wagner, Debussy, Beethoven, and Strauss.  $5 tickets are available at the door, or by calling the WSO office at 724 837-1850.

As You Like It, or Make it Hurt
Adapted from Shakespeare by the ensemble. Come, come, wrestle with thy affection. "As You Like It or Make it Hurt" explores this ensemble’s fascination with fetish, violence, and ,gender challenges in William Shakespeare’s play As You Like It. Fleeing the sterile court for the lure of the wild forest, the characters are forced to wrestle with each other, and with their own violent and sexual desires. Jessie Mills directs.

Disco Days & Boogie Nights
No matter what crowd you ran with in the '70s, Jack Everly conducts disco anthems like Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive," monster rock hits like Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" and singer/songwriter ballads like Don McLean's "American Pie." Along with hits from the Bee Gees, ABBA and Billy Joel, the groovy songs from a decade of music come together for one dynamite symphonic performance!

East End Choral Festival
The festival features the choirs of East Liberty Presbyterian, Shadyside Presbyterian, Calvary Episcopal, and St. Andrew's Episcopal churches.  The guest conductor will be David Hill, conductor of the BBC Singers and Bach Choir of London.  Combined choirs will sing works of Gerald Finzi, Benjamin Britten, and Randall Thompson.
