Ballet Under the Stars - Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre
PBT's annual Ballet Under the Stars offers a sneak peek at its 2014-2015 Season opener, "The Sleeping Beauty." A reprise of 2013-2014 season highlights includes bravura dancing from the classic “Don Quixote” and an encore performance of Viktor Plotnikov’s contemporary ballet, “In Your Eyes,” which PBT premiered in March. Pre-performance activities on the lawn for children and families begin at 5:00 pm.

Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike
Christopher Durang's comedy Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike follows the story of three siblings. Vanya and Sonia have never left the confines of their childhood home in Bucks County, PA, while their sister Masha has been gallivanting around the world as a successful actress. A surprise visit from Masha and her 20-something boy toy, Spike, throws the normally quiet household into utter upheaval as its residents and visitors are swept up in an intoxicating mixture of lust, rivalry, regret, and the sudden possibility of escape.

Paul Jacobs, organ
Westminster's Music & Arts Series presents concert organist Paul Jacobs in a return to the sanctuary where he performed the complete organ works of J. S. Bach in at age 23 to mark the 250th anniversary of the composer's death. A native of Washington, PA, Jacobs is chair of the organ department at the Juilliard School of Music.

Gene Kelly Birthday Celebration
This pay-what-you-can event — celebrating Kelly's 102nd birthday — features complimentary cake, ice cream, and a screening of the award-winning 1952 film Singin’in the Rain starring Gene Kelly, Donald O’Connor, and Debbie Reynolds. Period costumes with umbrellas encouraged.

World Kaleidoscope presents Geese in the Bog
