 Christopher Paul Curtis Christopher Paul Curtis is famous for his book, Bud, Not Buddy, which won the Newbery Award and the Coretta Scott King Award. Mr. Curtis will celebrate Black History Month with his latest book, The Mighty Miss Malone. Deza Malone is a dynamic little girl who is determined to keep hope alive, even when her father loses his job in the middle of the Great Depression. Budapest on the Bluff: Hungarian Harmonies Brahms's Piano Quartet #1 is widely loved for its melodic richness and irresistible Gypsy fireworks in the finale, but music lovers will be charmed to hear how Brahms liberally quotes from this concert's opener, Schubert's little-known Divertissement, a masterpiece in its own right. In his Hungarian Dances, Brahms arranged popular Gypsy themes, filtered through his own sensibility.
