Angela Sheik Red Dress Tour with special guest Jim Rodgers 2011-2012 BOSS US National Loop Champion Angela Sheik is a fierce vocal- and multi-instrumentalist who wows audiences by building her own virtual backup band using rhythmic harmonies, beatbox rhythms, a looper pedal, and a collection of unusual instruments. Peter Yarrow Mother's Day Concert The music of Peter, Paul and Mary awakened a generation to activism and idealism. Pittsburgh International Childrens Festival The Festival offers 65 performances in 5 venues with performers from Australia, Russia, Ireland, the United Kingdom and United States.  Elgar, Grieg & Ravel Ukrainian-born pianist and YouTube phenom Valentina Lisitsa performs Grieg's much-loved Piano Concerto. Then, Yan Pascal Tortelier conducts Osvaldo Golijov's "Siderius," co-commissioned by the PSO. After intermission, one of Ravel's first works for orchestra, Rapsodie Espagnole, inspired by the Spanish folk tunes sung by Ravel's mother.
