PB&J - Let's Be Composers
Chatham Baroque's Peanut Butter & Jam Sessions are designed for preschool children and their accompanying adults. Based on a model developed by the Linton Chamber Music Series in Cincinnati, PB&J is hosted by certified Kindermusik teacher Lynda Wingerd, and encourages young children to become active and enthusiastic listeners through music, dance and games. Chatham Baroque performs live, often with guest artists.

Joshua Redman
Joshua Redman is one of the most acclaimed and charismatic jazz saxophonists to emerged in the 90s. Redman has recorded and performed with musicians such as Ray Brown, Dave Brubeck, Chick Corea, The Dave Matthews Band, Jack DeJohnette, Herbie Hancock, Yo Yo Ma, The Rolling Stones, and many more.

Freya String Quartet presents Snapshots - Album Preview
The Freya String Quartet performs a sneak peek of their first album, Snapshots, featuring commissioned works by Richard and Sean Neukom. Each short character piece recalls familiar musical and dance forms presented in a new light. Since its inception in 2009, FSQ has presented over 60 educational and concert programs to a wide variety of audiences across multiple genres.

Concierto de Aranjuez
Ensemble Ripieno (Federico Garcia, music director) welcomes Mexican guitarist Dieter Hennings in Joaquin Rodrigo's Concierto de Aranjuez, a gem of the guitar repertory from 1939. Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante for 4 solo winds and orchestra, a popular piece whose wind writing is only surpassed by Mozart's later Gran Partita, will feature Pittsburgh's REED III trio and Jaclyn Perez, horn.

Johnstown Organ Recital
Dr. Ann Labounsky, Professor of Music and Chair of Organ and Sacred Music at Duquesne University and Dean of the Pittsburgh Chapter, American Guild of Organists, plays a program of German and French music -- from Bach, Mendelssohn, Vierne, and Langlais -- plus an improvisation on submitted themes.

Inclined to Sing Fall Concert
Inclined to Sing and The Apprentice Choir, the children's choruses of the Johnstown Symphony, present their fall concert -- a program of Renaissance to contemporary music for treble voices, including "Velvet Shoes" by Randall Thompson, "Sound the Trumpet" by Henry Purcell, and some holiday classics.

Community Sing with Ysaye Barnwell
Ysaye Barnwell, a member of Sweet Honey in the Rock from 1979 until her retirement this year, describes a community sing as "an opportunity for anyone who wants to sing with other people to come and do just that. You don't have to read music or have any musical training. I sing to the group and the group sings back. We begin in a fun, easy way and in two hours we become a choir of uncommon voices singing with great joy in 4 to 8 part harmony, and as many rhythms, and raising the roof."
