The Dominion VITA Awards program is a joint community partnership between Dominion and WQED Pittsburgh. It is funded by an annual grant from Dominion. The Dominion VITA Awards are coordinated by WQED Pittsburgh, the nation's first community-owned public broadcasting station. Talisa BarnesTalisa Barnes, a Pittsburgh native, has lived in Washington, D.C. and Maryland. Returning to Pittsburgh during high school, Barnes earned her diploma from Peters Township High School. Barnes is currently working towards her Associate's Degree in Nursing at Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC).


Corranda Cain


Corranda Y. Cain moved to Pittsburgh and attended Oliver High School. She graduated with a 3.4 GPA and is currently in her first year at the Bradford School majoring in computer programming. Cain plans to obtain her bachelor's and master's degrees at Robert Morris University.


Ricco CobiaRiccubono (Ricco) Cobia attended Benjamin Franklin High School in Philadelphia through the 11th grade. Cobia is currently a senior at Mt. Lebanon High School. He hopes to attend the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) or University of Southern California (USC).


 

Kemar Anthony Leamy, born in Jamaica, came to the United States at age seven. A graduate of Mt. Lebanon High School, Leamy majors in sports management and marketing at California University of Pennsylvania. He hopes to be a market analyst for a sports apparel company or an athletic director.
