"How has receiving the Dominion VITA Award changed your life and changed your organization?" Essay Contest
Due by June 30, 2008

Guidelines

1. Only one entry per organization or one entry per individual awardee.

2. All compositions must be no more than 500 words.

3. Contest is open only to past organizations which received a Dominion VITA Award.

4. Any affiliate or member of the organization may compose the essay if the recipient is unable to complete the process.

5. Winning organizations must be willing to participate in promotional aspects of the 20th anniversary VITA celebration which MAY include a video for broadcast by WQED Pittsburgh.

6. Nominations for the Dominion VITA Award are not limited to adults. Youth volunteers in the arts are also encouraged to submit nominations.

7. All compositions become the property of WQED and may be used in any manner in perpetuity. Each organization can nominate one volunteer per year. If an organization has more than one volunteer committee (i.e., Board, Women's Committee, Youth Professionals, etc.), it is still limited to one nominee per year.

8. Within a few days after submission, you should receive a confirmation email from Jamie Prince. If you do not receive one, please contact her at 412-622-1363.

Please do not focus on just the monetary aspect of the award the organization received.
