Super Teachers - Special Needs

The Super Teachers from the DART program focused on developing differentiated instruction for Kindergarten students with special needs. They created curriculum based on three PBS KIDS programs -- The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That!, Clifford the Big Red Dog, and Between the Lions -- that is available to kindergarten classrooms across an entire school district.

The DART Super Teachers developed a special framework for their work to ensure that each lesson plan promoted the cognitive, communication, social/emotional, physical development, and adaptive skills of their students.

Explore the team's lessons using Between the Lions, which promotes reading among children ages 4 to 7. This curriculum includes resources aligned with the special framework described above. The Super Teachers also created lessons using Clifford the Big Red Dog and The Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That!
