VOLUNTEERS
WQED-fm volunteers answer phones during pledge drives, catalog recordings for the music library, assist the receptionist by answering listener calls and greeting guests. Volunteers assist the station staff in many ways on remotes and special events. WQED-fm volunteers say they enjoy being around music and musicians -- and that the deejays don't necessarily look the way they sound on radio.
