Driving Miss Daisy Presented by: Jewish Community Center Jewish Theatre of Pittsburgh presents Alfred Uhry's Pulitzer Prize-winning play. The story takes place from 1948 to 1973 in Atlanta, GA, and deals with racial and anti-Semitic issues in a subtle manner. The relationship between Miss Daisy, a wealthy Jewish widow, and Hoke, a poor African-American worker, is beautifully drawn and deepens as the play progresses.
