Aida Presented by: Pittsburgh Opera The Ethiopian princess Aida finds herself torn between her love for her country and her love for the Egyptian general Radames in this grandest of grand operas. Against the backdrop of their warring nations, the lovers try to defy the odds, but their fates are sealed, in this moving saga of timeless love. Aida brings the company debuts of Latonia Moore and Carl Tanner as Aida and Radames, hailed as “stunning” (Moore) and "eliciting a chorus of bravos" (Tanner) in the Metropolitan Opera's Aida. Elizabeth Bishop returns as Amneris.
