2012 OLYMPIC GAMES PRE-OPENING CEREMONY CELEBRATION IN LONDON
BROADCAST LIVE ON CLASSICAL WQED-FM 89.3

PITTSBURGH—Join Classical WQED-FM 89.3 Friday, July 27 at 1 p.m. for a special broadcast of the West Eastern Divan Orchestra performance of Beethoven’s Ninth conducted by Daniel Barenboim. LIVE from the renowned London-based BBC Proms 2012 classical music festival, American Public Media’s (APM) Fred Child will host the two-hour program. Part of the London 2012 Festival (the cultural celebrations of the Olympic Games,) this BBC Proms 2012 program will highlight the BBC Proms, and feature interviews with Barenboim, Olympic athletes and London locals.
