MUSICAL KIDS WINNERS ANNOUNCED
Local Classical Music Experts and 2,400 Online Voters Selected the 2014 Musical Kids

PITTSBURGH—Voting for the 2014 Musical Kids competition is complete, and Classical WQED-FM 89.3 is pleased to announce six winners in grades six to eight. This year’s winners hail from a variety of educational backgrounds and locations with two home-school students, two North Allegheny School District students, one private school student, and one from West Virginia. The Classical WQED-FM 89.3 2014 Musical Kids are:

A special program hosted by Jim Cunningham with interviews and LIVE performances with the winners will air on Performance in Pittsburgh Friday, May 30 at 7:00 p.m. on Classical WQED-FM 89.3. In addition, presentations will be held at each winner’s school where prizes including a plaque will be awarded. Winners will also perform at the Three Rivers Arts Festival in the WQED Tent located in the Creativity Zone on June 14 and 15 at 1:00 p.m.
