WQED-FM 89.3 TO BROADCAST LIVE FOUR PITTSBURGH
SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA CONCERTS DURING 2008-09 SEASON
Season Opening Night Broadcast Welcomes Maestro Manfred Honeck
PITTSBURGH – WQED-FM 89.3 is scheduled to broadcast four live concerts of the
Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra during the 2008-09 season, including the much
anticipated Opening Night concert by Maestro Manfred Honeck and the season finale on
June 12.
WQED-FM 89.3’s Jim Cunningham will host each concert and will feature backstage
interviews with artists.
Concerts that will be broadcast live on WQED-FM 89.3:
• The Opening Night concert with Manfred Honeck on Friday, September 26, 2008
at 8pm.
• Tortelier: An Enchanted Journey on Friday, January 30, 2009 at 8pm
• Rachmaninoff Festival Finale on Friday, April 17, 2009 at 8pm
• The Season Finale with Manfed Honeck on Friday, June 12, 2009 at 8pm
