CRANBERRY WALNUT CAKE

Ingredients
2 c cranberries1/2 c walnuts
1/2 c sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 sticks butter, melted and cooled
1 c sugar
1 c flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp almond extract
Procedure
Preheat the oven to 350°. Put the cranberries, walnuts and 1/2 cup sugar into a greased, 10" springform pan or pie plate.
Mix the eggs, butter, 1 cup sugar, flour, salt and almond extract. Stir until smooth and pour over the cranberry-walnut mixture.
Bake about 40 minutes or until a tester comes out clean. Makes 6 or 8 pieces.
