New studies show that as many as one out of seven moms suffer from postpartum depression with symptoms ranging from loss of appetite to difficulty bonding with their babies. WQED explores the risk factors, causes, symptoms and treatment options for postpartum depression and related disorders with local doctors. We’ll also hear from two moms about their almost year-long battle with postpartum symptoms and find out how a group called “Baby Steps” is guiding mothers in supporting each other and finding recovery.
