Changemaker Story Prompts
If you want to write a story about being a changemaker, check out these toolkits!
About these toolkits: Stories are a powerful tool to inspire readers to see themselves and those around them as changemakers. These toolkits are designed to help young writers create and share stories of changemakers. Ashoka provides two examples of how to narrate these stories – one from two sisters in Michigan and one from PBS’s Molly of Denali. Changemakers are everywhere! These stories help others to see them, too.
Ashoka’s Vision: Ashoka believes that the ability to adapt to and drive change is essential for everyone to thrive in a rapidly changing world. Ashoka envisions a world in which everyone discovers their power as a changemaker - anyone who steps up to address a problem, big or small, and creates opportunities for the good of all. To create this magnitude of change, we must transform the way that children and young people grow up. In partnership with young people and influential institutions, Ashoka builds and activates communities of changemakers to transform the way we learn, work, and live together.
