Pittsburgh Civic Orchestra Presents “March Madness”!

The Pittsburgh Civic Orchestra will present March Madness, a program celebrating music with an association with the letter M. The concert will feature percussion soloist Camilo Jauregui performing “El Vibrafono Ligéro” by Mexican composer Patricia Moya. This concert will also mark the world premiere composer Jose Carlos Milan’s “Esencias de Mexico”, a composition which brings to life the music of all of Mexico’s diverse cultures. A mainstay of classical music, Smetana’s “The Moldau” is a symphonic poem of the journey of the Vltava river. Rounding out the M’s in the program, “El Capitan” a military march by Sousa and Mancini’s beloved “Moon River. The concert will be held on Saturday March 9, 2024 at 7:30 pm at the St. Michael the Archangel Parish, Our Lady of Grace Church, 310 Kane Blvd. There are no tickets.
