Joanne remembers her late husband and his work dating back to 1954 at WQED. Nashville based artist Wayne Brezinka talks about his painting "Mr. Rogers: Just the Way You Are," on display at WQED through the end of 2019 and the national tour for the work which was seen recently at PBS headquarters in Washington D.C. and at an opening at the home of commentator David Brooks. Wayne talks about his work for the New York Times and the Washington Post as an editorial cartoonist and his designs for album covers by bestselling Warner Brothers and Universal artists including George Strait.
The Chamber Orchestra of Pittsburgh opens their season at the First Unitarian Church Friday September 27, 2019 with a reworking of music by Chris Massa sung by Voces Solis with Ryan Keeling directing along with Gerald Finzi, Sibelius and John Corigliano. Conductor Edward Leonard joins Chis and Ryan in the Classical QED Morning show studio with Jim Cunningham
