Filmmaker Sam Pollard directed and produced "August Wilson: The Ground On Which I Stand" for WQED and PBS's American Masters. Sam tells Jim Cunningham about that project and his next one -- a four-hour documentary on Frank Sinatra for HBO. Mr. Pollard also recalls his work on profiles of Marvin Gaye and John Ford for American Masters, and his work on movies with Spike Lee.

The composer tells Jim Cunningham about working with Wilson on his play Gem of the Ocean, coming to Pittsburgh for Wilson's memorial service, working with Producer Sam Pollard on the film, and her music training.
