Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra's "Tree of Life: Concert for Peace and Unity" - Nov 28, 2018

WQED-FM's live broadcast of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra's "Concert for Peace and Unity," which took place on Tuesday November 27th, 2018 at Heinz Hall.  The broadcast begins with WQED-FM's Jim Cunningham interviewing PSO musicians backstage prior to the concert, including James Rodgers, Penny Brill, Cynthia Koledo DeAlmeida, and Michael Rusinek.  Jim also interview the Director of the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh Matthew Mehaffey and an interview clip with violinist Itzhak Perlman.

Then, Jim Cunningham hosts the concert conducted by Manfred Honeck of works by Arvo Part, Ravel, Shostakovich, MacMillan, Brahms, John Williams and Edward Elgar.
