Violinist and Director of Orchestral Activities at CMU Andres Cardenes joins his colleagues in the Diaz Trio for Chamber Music Pittsburgh on February 5 at Carnegie Music Hall for Mozart Schubert and Penderecki. On January 28 at 7:30 he will be in the audience at Carnegie Music Hall for the Carnegie Mellon Philharmonic with guest conductor and pianist Ian Hobson playing the Beethoven First Piano Concerto and conducting the Rachmaninoff Second Piano Concerto. Ian Hobson talks about his multiple interests and vast recorded catalogue and friendship of many years with the former concertmaster of the Pittsburgh Symphony Andres Cardenes.  Tickets for the CMU Philharmonic are $10. Seniors $5. Students free.
