Celeste Parrendo

Celeste Parrendo is the scenic charge artist at Pittsburgh Public Theater putting together the sets for all the productions at the O’Reilly Theater in the Cultural District. Working on the sets for A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to the Forum she describes the process of carpentry and painting for the set design by James Noone. Celeste has painted for the ceiling of the Austrian Cultural Room at the Cathedral of Learning, Pittsburgh Ballet Theater and Civic Light Opera. She served as Head Usher at Heinz Hall and she works in the Hunt Stained Glass Studio founded by her father Nicholas ‘Nick’ Parrendo.  The radio is always tuned to 89.3 in the design shop in Point Breeze on Penn Avenue.
