Eric Moe, composer,University of Pittsburgh professor, and founder of the Music On the Edge Series discusses the visit Saturday February 2 at 8pm in the Andy Warhol Museum Theater of the Da Capo Chamber Players. They bring a program with music by Eric Moe, his Strenuous Pleasures along with music by Valerie Coleman, David Rakowski, David Sanford, and Joan Tower, one of the founding members of the ensemble. The Da Capo Chamber Players have been hailed by The New Yorker as a "distinguished ensemble...at the center of the New York new-music scene for forty-five years.” Winner of the Naumburg Chamber Music Award early in its trajectory (1973), the ensemble is about to enter its 47th season. Eric Moe also talks about his most recent cd and his greatest hit.
