In partnership with Homewood Children’s Village, this year’s free Family Day will consist of different activities designed to expose children, teens, and their families to some of the many different components that make up opera.

This Family Day Event will feature hands-on activities and inclusive activations that reflect Mary Cardwell Dawson’s mission to create exposure and career opportunities through the arts. This event will feature several activities hosted around the center that will highlight the “behind the scenes” magic that goes into creating an opera. The evening will be capped off by a performance by our Resident Artists.

There is no minimum age to attend. Parents/guardians must accompany children younger than high school age, so they can enjoy the activities with their children. Each family will receive a free goody bag at the end of the event.
