State budget cuts forced it to close for eight months before operations were taken over by the Heinz History Center in the Strip District. Today, the newly re-opened Fort Pitt Museum has a cleaner, fresher look with life-like figures and recently added artifacts.

With the men's choir founded in 1985 and the women's founded in 1995, Renaissance City Choirs are celebrating their 20th anniversary. As Pittsburgh's only gay and lesbian choral group, members seek to empower the LGBT community, add to the cultural community at large, and share their voices.
