The Gift of Art

It's a unique exhibit showcasing 50 works of art given as gifts to the Westmoreland Museum of American Art in Greensburg. The display is part of the museum's 50th anniversary celebration. OnQ takes you on a tour.

That's the motto of the Pittsburgh Youth Golf Foundation. Founded in 1991, the goal of this unique organization is to introduce golf to at-risk children in the Pittsburgh area. OnQ's Chris Moore explains how this sport is helping to improve the self-esteem and self-discipline of thousands of youngsters in 6th - 8th grades.

Public transportation riders are getting culture with their commute. Pittsburgh area artists are working with Port Authority of Allegheny County to display their work on buses.


When the train tracks from Pittsburgh to Cumberland, Maryland became the Great Allegheny Passage biking and hiking trail, the Big Savage Tunnel's deplorable condition was a major obstacle for bicyclists trying to connect with the C&O Canal trail into Washington, D.C. This mini-documentary follows several years in efforts to restore the tunnel - making it a landmark stop along the bike trail. From writer/producer David Solomon, Camera & Editing: Paul Ruggieri.


This mobile digital mammography unit for the West Virginia University Hospital's Cancer Center travels into rural West Virginia providing mammograms to women who'd otherwise have to travel great distances for this life-saving test.  OnQ contributor Lori Savitch reports.
