Harpsichordist Elizabeth Etter and Baroque violinist/violist Warren Davidson stopped by to talk about their Bach concert - Father JS alongside CPE, JC, JCF, and WF. It's Chamber Music at Old St. Luke's on Sunday, February 16th at 2pm - the concert is free. Plus Warren plays some Bach in our studio.
Composer Roger Dannenberg stopped by WQED-FM to talk about his opera "The Mother of Fishes" which will have it's World Premiere this weekend (February 15 and 16) at Capa Theater.
Composer Reza Vali stopped by WQED-FM to talk about his new recordings, including "Longing" featuring the Carpe Diem String Quartet playing Vali's chamber music, as well as his "Persian Folk Songs" performed by cellist Kian Soltani on the Deutche Grammophon label.
Edward Leonard, Federico Garcia de Castro, and Andrew Swenson stopped by the QED Morning Show to talk about the Chamber Orchestra of Pittsburgh concert this weekend - Friday February 7th at First Unitarian Church of Pittsburgh. The concert features a world premiere by Federico Garcia-De Castro, as well as the Pipa Concerto by Lou Harrison featuring Yang Jin as soloist, and special guest Afro Yaqui on the second half of the program.
