Write On!

Few things capture a child’s imagination like a good book. Each year, WQED, PBS39WITF, and West Virginia Public Broadcasting encourage children in Pennsylvania and West Virginia, in Kindergarten through 3rd grade, to create their own stories and take part in the PBS KIDS Writers Contest.

The 2015 Contest runs from January 6th through March 31st. Be sure to check out the winning stories from our 2014 contest! You can also read the winning entries from previous years.

Want to learn more about the PBS KIDS Writers Contest? Check out our Resources page for great tips to support your young writers! And, of course, the Rules and Entry Form!

Remember your stories MUST be postmarked by March 31st!

Congratulations to our two

The Contest is brought to you locally - for the 5th year! - by the EQT Foundation, a long-time supporter of raising readers in our community.

WQED, PBS39, WITF, and West Virginia Public Broadcasting are proud to participate in the 2014 national PBS KIDS Writers Contest.
