Pennsylvania's Energy Future

There's lot of talk these days about developing alternative sources of energy. OnQ's Tonia Caruso finds out what's on the horizon and takes a closer look at Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell's energy independence strategy.

In the early 1900s, photographer Leo Beachy took captivating images of life in Western Maryland, Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia, but most of his glass plate negatives were destroyed in 1927. In recent years, Beachy's niece, Maxine Broadwater, recovered 2,700 negatives and is working to bring her uncle's remarkable legacy back to life. It may be the answer to the needs of an energy-hungry nation, but it's a different story for people who live close to drilling sites - especially those who rely on well water to drink, bathe and water gardens.
